eds89
Hi, Wondering if anyone might be able to offer some suggestions; I have an RM750i and bought the premium braided cable kit to match my build's colour scheme. Due to a GPU height issue, I could not get my side panel back on with PCI-E power cables connected to my GPU. As such, I bought a right angled (modded) cable which has been serving me well, but looks awful as is standard black and yellow. I would love to try and get the connector off the modded one, and swap it onto the Corsair one, so I don't have to physically cut the Corsair connector. I have a depinning tool, which works fine on the modded adaptor, but does not seem to work on any pin on the Corsair cables. Any reason why the Corsair cables can't be depinned? Is there another method I could try to get the pins out? Cheers Eds
teshreve
Are you using a quality tool, like this one? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GOIY1NE/ I have removed the pins from (at least) 32 Corsair plugs with one of these.
eds89
I am using one from MDPC-X which I would consider quality. Have tried in just about every pin of multiple PCI-E cables that came in the premium kit, and can't get a single one out.
