Naruto-kun Posted January 21, 2011 Share Posted January 21, 2011 Where can I find this RAM? I bought a motherboard for my new AMD 6 core and the ram that i bought with it is not compatible. Looking at the QVA list, the only 2000Mhz ram compatible with it is this CORSAIR TW3X4G2000C7GT 4GB 2000Mhz 7-8-7-20 timing 2.1V The motherboard is a ASUS M4A87TD EVO. CMX8GX3M2A2000C9 is also compatible (8 GB kit). If you want faster memory then you'd be looking for a couple of sticks of one of the following part numbers: CMGTX3 - 2400 MHz (1 x 2 GB) CMGTX4 - 2533 MHz (1 x 2 GB) CMGTX6 - 2625 MHz (1 x 2 GB) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Naruto-kun Posted January 21, 2011 Author Share Posted January 21, 2011 Looks like I bought a bad motherboard.....The ram that Tigerdirect sent me was Corsair CMX6GX3M3A2000C9 which i found out is not compatible after all and my motherboard is downright fussy about it. I was hoping that the above requested RAM would still be available somewhere because it seems liike the motherboard wont accept 2000Mhz ram with a timing different to 7-8-7-20. I tried using only 2 of the sticks of the RAM that tigerdirect sent me but to no avail and they ar 9-9-9-24 timing..... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
