h100i and 3770k temps

hey all just wanted to see what temps other people are getting with this configuration. I havent overclocked yet so at stock speeds my idle temps are around 29 - 33c and under load on prime 95 they top out at around 60c.

they seem alright, was hoping for maybe a little better.

ambient temperature is about 27c

your idle temps will rise to mid 30's as the computer runs longer and your load temps are good,.i have a oc of 4.3 with a 3770k also and my load temps run high 50's and bounce to low 60's but my build has been up a good while.

hehe im going to buy some mx-4 its 43% off right now on newegg ill just buy 20 grams for 20 dollars and that way no curing time dont have to worry about shorting anything and hopefully thatll lower my temps :)

and 20 grams will last me like 20 reapplications if not more

more like 40

H100i on 2600k @4.5 with 1.32V nt-h1 (room temp22-24)

37-41C on cores at idle state

57-63C on cores at real temp calibration

H100i on 2600k @ stock with stock paste and nt-h1 (room temp 22-24)

28-32C @idle

47-51 @ max load

OK here are the Temps of the Prime95 with BLEND :(

sorry for the mistake NOOB OC

explain what was done to achieve these temps.

its obviously more than just voltage sets.,reason i ask is others will complain that theirs are higher and then fault their coolers

I will repost the temperatures when I am at home. Those temps aren't the averange but min max of the cores and how I remember them. Think the room temp is/was low plus each cpu is different. The ones low are the highs for others.

H100i with stock fans dont want to loose the 2700rpm for more silent system. Got 2 nf-f12 pwm sitting arround. Only top plastic cover from 550d is removed for exhaust ing h100i fans.

Nothing that I knew mate on 550d just replaced the fans.

Noctua s12a pwm x2 front removed top cage intake max rpm since nearly 0 noise hooked with y adapter on h100i 3rd fan

Added a noctua nf-a14 pwm on bottom intake at 900-950 rpm since after those rpms you can hear everyair flow they push hooked 9n h100i 4th fan

And replaced the rear with a noctua NF-A15 pwm hooked on mb 4pin chassis with turbo profile.

Ax860i facing bottom so no exhaust from it

living in germany helps with ambient temp too,i spent 3 years in mannheim, got some cold azz winters there.:D:

hehe

It helps alot with them

So since i am noobie on OC i made a small mistake :P

here is the new Temps

small fft actually produces more heat than in-place large fft most of the time

but your temps look great

but do this... you have a i7 3770k right? set to 3.5ghz and no extra voltage and run small fft prime 95 for me because i know what my temps are with that

whoops wrong person dang it

ok in the pic is it overclocked?

im sorry im totally messing up right now...ok id say if thats stock its a tad high but i dont have an i7 2600k but anything below 65-70C stock should be normal when running small fft

:D:you just wish your temps were as low as his are .

but a 3770k does get a bit hotter,im fortunate mine are as low as they are

yeah on 2600k cooler CPU :P

But running H100i on Quiet Profile.

i did run the small after a large one . Hello 80C since liguid was at 36C on H100i :P

Ok here is the Small Test Prime95 (file small test 2) 80C on quited mode

So guys and girls the 60C was a dream :P sorry to break it.

here is the Small test with Balanced profile on H100i and on bottom fan 77C

Btw is the 2130 Pump Speed normal ?

I did read something somewhere about 2200+ as normal speed ?!!?!?!?!!

its 2200 plus or minus 5% so your good there

small fft is EXTREMELY not real-world but it will get the cpu the hottest...even blend isnt real world

but for 4.5ghz that looks great

when i say real world i mean real world scenarios like will this happen with normal use of computer

last question now

NF S12a or NF F12 for Front fans on the 550D ? the S12A are silent on 1100 RPM (max) i would like to have few RPM more for more intake flow.

atm 3 fans in and 3 fans out but we got the VGA as out to. even the 140mm on bottom can deliver more then the exhaust 140mm.

the other solution is to make H100i as Intake but to much heat that goes inside ans the you have to turn the PSU as exhaust to. and you would try to go against the nature. Heat moves up and you try to push it down GL with it :P

Crap LF Fan with 12 SP 200 CFM and 4 DB at max 4k RPM

Here are the changes aka OC on bios Setup. any suggestions are welcomed !!!!

ya voltage looks good

you might get lower idle temps with speedstep turned on but you have the c states on so that will reduce voltage some so you should be good

might get 3-10C (depending on how hot your case gets) cooler on the H100i if you have exhaust coming in but it will make case warmer

oh and btw unless you turn c states off its going to clock to stock speeds at idle but if you turn that off it will wear your processor down much faster and take MUCH more power at idle it was taking about the same power at idle as for 15% load on my computer when i had c states off...so i recommend keeping them on
