I've been playing on my Store bought PC for 2 years now & have been loving PC gaming ! ~ I have see many people build these PC desk & always finding my self saying " I want that" So I went ahead threw down the cash for some PC part & Here We Go! Leaked ~ barb Thread was off & Stripped my water blocks thread! So now I have to WAIT ! Frozenpc are not the best when it come to returns let me tell you.... it really driving me Nuts!!! I will never shop there again ~ Spent quite a bit on this kit & It Was DOA ~ So now looking for another.... wytnyt Posted November 27, 2014 Share Posted November 27, 2014 very nice build,ive always enjoyed doing woodwork as a kid I must say tho its best to use color tubing and clear non conductive water instead of colored water so you wont have to break the system down 6 or so months later to do a wash out... But quick update ~ I received my Screen mount & EMI Shielded Graphic card Extender Still few more things i need to do for cord management to make it look nice & clean But it running all my games at 60 fps ( Dayz Sa & Arma III ) ~ Haven't had any problems since I change to the Shielded GC extender Im really bad at taking good photos ~ Will update as soon as i get some nice Shots Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That desk is hands down one of the coolest things I have ever seen and I am now dead set on building one myself. Im not even a hard core gamer, I just want one! I do have a few questions for you if you don't mind answering for me and letting me pick your brain for a minute.. 1. What did your mount the motherboard to? I assume it isn't just sitting on the wood. 2. Are you able to keep the system cool with the fans and the Liquid cooler? I assume you have the side fans built into the desk, did you cut out slots that were the perfect size and place the fans in those slots? 3. What type of window did you use? Glass? Plexi glass? Plastic? Are you able to remove the window easily for upgrades and maintenance or do you have a different point of entry? 4. Are all of your wires routed underneath the desk and coming threw the bottom at strategic points of where your hardware will be? 5. Did you start this build with a blueprint plan or just build it on the fly. Hippohop Posted February 22, 2015 Author Share Posted February 22, 2015 Glad you like it ~ I know i sure do!! as for your questions 1. my mother board is mounted to an acrylic motherboard holder ~ $20 or so 2. my whole rig stays nice & cool ~ Only thing water cooled ATM is my CPU the fans are the perfect height for the desk 120mm ~ but at this height I cannot run the GC in the motherboard ~ A Price *** Cord Is needed to make it work. 3. I had an old cheap desk i used the glass from ~ Tho my Local Hardware store Cuts glass into any size fairly cheap! To get into the PC is Fairly Easy, Clear all the crap off my desk then pop out one of the sides, then lift Glass & Bam Done! 4. Ill show some close up Photos next time ~ But no, All my Cord for the most part stay inside the desk. But, if you build this you will need loads of custom length cords 5.
