carlosalvatore
Hi, I wonder whether a Corsair H45 can be installed on a GPU Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 (GV-R797OC-3GD) or not. I understand that H45 is not designed for that, but I am on a budget and the stock Windforce system is not getting the job done. I am experiencing black screen crashes when the GPU gets stressed, so I think the problem is temperature related. My CPU is a FX 8350, and since it was water cooled, it has worked flawlessly between 40-50 ºC. I am running the open source radeon drivers [formerly I was using amdgpu, with the same issues] in Artix Linux (kernel 5.7.7 piledriver). The plan is not getting a card bracket, but to install the water cooler directly to the GPU and deal with the VRM temperature using heatsinks. If there is room or a way to do it, I could adapt some fans to them. Hope somebody could help me. Thanks in advance. Regards.
