anttkaik
For years my computer was randomly crashing usually a few times per week in both linux and windows but I didn't know which hardware component was causing it. That was until recently I build a second computer with a HX750 and got an idea to swap the power supplies to make sure the fault isn't in the PSU. To my surprise the new computer started having the same issue and the old computer stopped having the issue, confirming that there is something wrong with the HX850. Here is my question: I changed the mode of the faulty PSU to single-rail mode and didn't have any crashes yet. Is it okay to keep using the faulty PSU in single rail mode if it doesn't crash anymore or should I get it replaced? Both systems are running a ryzen cpu (1700x and 3900x) and a single mid to low-end GPU so they shouldn't be drawing too much current. Also the crashing has even happened during the night when the computer has been idle.
