Have these issues been fixed yet? (before I try an update again)
-
Mikuni started following iCUE v5 won't see my RAM and PSU
-
Just updated from v4 and now my RAM (vengeance) and PSU (RM750i) are not recognized, also none of the plugins and modules download.

I want to buy a single ML140 Pro rgb fan without the controller, will I be able to adapt the LED cable to connect to my Asus motherboard RGB header, using just the DATA and GROUND pins?

Hi, topic related to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/8vhifp/corsair_icue_software_causing_pc_crashes/ https://forum.corsair.com/forums/topic/142362-black-screening-video-card-output-switching-off-from-icue/page/13/ Can't reply these so making a new post. So recently I got a new AIO from NZXT so I have been more actively checking system temps. etc, and ever since I'm having these weird lockups. They can happen after hours or days, while watching youtube or idle while I sleep. Symptoms are the same, if while using it, it seems to start having glitches with the graphics, like the video stops as if there was a network issue, mouse cursor moves but windows don't "refresh", like I can open task manager and scroll through the list of processes but the % and numbers don't update and after a while nothing else responds anymore. If it happens while I'm away, the monitor is off and won't come back up. I can browse my shared folders remotely from another pc or phone so it's not completely frozen. Tried another set of RAM and a different GPU (used DDU), same thing. After a while I noticed it didn't happen if I had iCUE just sitting in the tray, while I normally had it up with a few panels in the monitoring Dashboard. So I just stumbled upon that reddit post from over 3 years ago.. which led me to this forum. Can't believe it's mid 2021 and this is still an issue. i5-2500K RM750i Corsair Scimitar 16 GB RAM Asus GTX 1070/660 Other monitoring apps running: - CoreTemp - NZXT's CAM - Asus GPU Tweak II However I've had these installed all along for years and everything was ok.

New update yesterday still including this. Corsair, can you explain?
-
I didn't drag it out, it seems to have been created by the installer after a recent update on May 3rd 2021. it contains (only) "CUE4\config.cuecfg". There is an additional CUE4 inside Roaming
-
Could you guys maybe use Local or Roaming like every other app?
-
I have to disable this after every iCUE update. Why is this not solved?

Introducing the new CORSAIR iCUE (v4.X) - Megathread

Why is CorsairMsiPluginService.exe running in my ASUS mobo? -
Ok, to be fair after testing the new iCUE for a bit I must say it's an insane improvement over v3 (when you consider v3 would even crash sometimes just clicking on the tray icon or freeze for a few seconds). But yeah, 1.2 GB for a mouse driver/software, I get it they packed all their devices together in a single ~suite but this is extreme, both the space used and consumed RAM through the iCUE processes: iCUE.exe CorsairGamingAudioCfgService64.exe CueLLAccessService.exe CorsairMsiPluginService.exe (I have an Asus mobo, why is this running?) Corsair.Service.exe Corsair.Service.CpuIdRemote64.exe Corsair.Service.DisplayAdapter.exe conhost.exe x2 ~780 MB ram

Long time user of your products, currently got a high-end PSU and Mouse. iCUE v3 was so slow and bloated, when I saw a v4 update I thought "maybe they have finally learned and made it lighter, they need better rep now they've gone public in the stock market", just to find a 750 MB installer file and 1.2 GB folder post-install (plus v3 never told me v4 was out or suggested to upgrade, and the installer wanted to use a different folder rather than upgrade v3). How is this possibly justified??? (and let's not even mention the 9 running processes on the background eating 700-800 MB ram)
-
In my case it's the same, I don't have any monitoring modules on in iCUE, just the lighting and key binds for macro keys.
-
I've been testing a Roccat keyboard today, look how much CPU it's using while doing the same as iCUE.

I tried the browns today but wasn't convinced except for a non-gaming setup. Pity there is no reds option.
