Experiencing the very same thing, present on the firmware that came with the mouse as well as with the latest version available. Usually happens every 10-20 minutes similar to raakande, it always increases and is temporarily solved for me by manually on the mouse adjusting the dpi down and back up (down arrow + up arrow).
