  1. bump for response from Corsair personnel

My opinion, Corsair want to be one of the first who enter the market with a Pcie 4.0 SSD, because they can sold at a high price.

It was not interested that are launching defective, untested products.

They didn't care that some controller chipset or TLC flash does not work properly. And it probably can't be fixed with any firmware update.

  2.

The only thing I can think of doing now before RMA is updating my C8HW to BIOS v1105 which includes the rather significant AM4 combo PI 1.0.0.4 patch B.

Upgrading my motherboard to the new BIOS (AM4 combo PI 1.0.0.4 B patch) did not improve my SSD write speed.

I hope Corsair succeed to reproduce the failure and firmware patch coming soon.

And I hope not a defective memory control chip or memory chip causes the failure.

  3. I recently reinstalled Windows. During the installation of my programs, I was continuously testing SSD and it was good. After installing "AI_SUITEIII" with "Dual_intelligent_processor_5" item, and running an automatic CPU tuning, the SSD write speed again dropped to 1 GB/s.

Now I reinstalled Windows and did not install AI_SUITEIII. SSD write speed is good so far.

Unfortunately, the slowdown was not caused by AISuiteIII. Writing speed is again completely chaotic

  5. Try running Atto Disk Benchmark 4.01 and see what you get... I've noticed a lot of fluctuations in speeds and atto shows it clearly.

I tested with fan airflow directed to the SSD (38°C), the result is same

@Corsair Kevin I hope Corsair is working on a firmware repair.
