thomas4144
A few months back my PC started to weirdly crash to a black screen. It actually looked like it was still working for some time with a black screen and no way to get the screen to turn on again. This kind of crash could happen one minute after start up or a few hours after start up. It drove me crazy. I also tried some programs which will check and repair any software/driver issues. It did not help until one week ago where Restoro identified ICUE as a malware and just dumped part of it. the black screen crashes went away....... After I re-installed ICUE the same black screen crashes happened again. So three days ago I did a clean uninstall of ICUE - and now my PC is running since 3 days without a single black screen crash. Ok, I have a quite old system (i7-4930K, ASUS Sabertooth X79 MB) but something is definitely wrong with ICUE. So if you have a similar problem (PC just turns the screen black and the only way out is a restart) and you have ICUE installed ==> just do a clean uninstall of ICUE. I love the stuff from Corsair (my first choice for power supplies and AIO) but their software often does not work or gives awkward side effects.

thomas4144
WOW! This is going on for years without a solution from Corsair. Definitely no product from Corsair in my life! Now I understand - I am also using X79 MB and 4390 K CPU. All is clear now and I regret that I ever installed this ICUE garbage which gave me months of misery. Good bye , Corsair for bad and ever.
