kalSF
F60GB2 firmware update from 1.1 to 2.0. Download at 850sectors, and been that way for over 30minutes now. Instructions say (and all followed to the letter to this point) not to reboot during process of course. Do I bite it and try anyway? Brief background, just got laptop yesterday (Sager NP8170-S1) after intel sandybridge chip problem delayed build and ship, and this f60 was bought over 30days ago and only just now used to load w7 as OS drive. Was the only immediate means I had for getting 7 up on AHCI and update the drive. So far in the first few hours of actual use, i'm experiencing drive not detected in bios every other boot, so was hoping FW would fix.
kalSF
meh, rebooted anyway, noticed I could only move my mouse (not click) and my clock stopped moving :p. thankfully didn't brick the drive... Couldnt use the fw tool to find the drive again to see version #, but crystaldiskinfo could see it at 2.0. Guess we'll see how it goes.
