Hoyao
Hi, I plan to get 64G memory for my PC. I found these two options: CMK64GX4M4B3200C16 1pc vs CMK32GX4M2B3200C16 2pc both can be 64G, and I dont see any difference in the spec. however, in most sites the 32G kit x 2 is cheaper than 64G kit x1 is there any difference in two model? are they actually exact the same ram x 4 in total? Thanks
HiTach
Two kits with two modules is not guaranteed to work together, where the four module kit is selected to perform together, with identical ICs. For some systems, especially if pushing clock speed and timings this can be a benefit. Though I have used two kits in the past at regular speeds, the higher spec memory of modern kits makes me feel the price premium is worth the difference in reducing the risk of wasting debug time, or work if the system turns out to be unreliable, and even the downtime of an RMA. My two latest purchases are 4x16 kits. Good luck and please let us know how it works out for you.
