  1. Happy to report I have now sorted out my 6 front and side intake fans and I can control them and have set them to balanced. All the lighting is working albeit occasionally when my lighting profile loads the lights do not come on but this is sporadic and could be an issue with wallpaper engine. Thanks for the tips, especially around the use of the AIO pump in ICUE. Sorted out the cpu fan error by switching the cpu fan header to ignore via the bios. I'll 'mark as solution'......Thanks again.
  2. Hey! Thanks you for replying. I have included the screenshot. As an update you will notice it is showing the lightning node now, so I can sort my lighting out but still no standard commander to control the fan speed and I know they're going too fast. Have have quite a lot of other Corsair peripherals and no issues with any of the other stuff including the Copro.
  3. Hi, Finally upgraded my case (5000D)and cpu cooling as I upgraded my CPU to a AMD 5000 series chip and also installed a H150i elite capellix AIO. Everything went fairly well until I loaded up ICUE. I am using a standard commander with a lightning node For the 6 fans at the front and side of the case and I am using the commander pro for the AIO fans and a single exhaust fan at the back and top (4 fans in total). It recognizes the commander pro every time regardless of whether I use USB internal port 1 or 2 on my mobo. However the commander standard still allows for the fans to spin and have RGB, although the only colour it turns is the normal white hue but will not appear in ICUE. System info CPU - AMD 5900x GPU - AMD 6800XT Cooling - H150i elite capellix AIO Mobo - Asus Crosshair hero VIII x570 RAM - Corsair RGB pro Case - Corsair 5000D Things I have tried - Upgrading to latest bios for my asus x570 board Swapping over internal USB 2.0 ports to check if issue with them (it's not) Upgrading to latest chipset drivers repairing ICUE via apps and features I am also getting a CPU fan error on startup. However things are running fine and cpu temps are at expected levels and it's easy to disable this message through BIOS. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I have to open a ticket with Corsair directly.
  4. Hi all, Really quick question, I have purchased a 5000D and upgraded from a Phanteks P400a because it didn't support AIO top mounting. Also got the H150i Elite Capellix AIO. I have done a bit of research on push and pull and the general consensus seems to be that if you're using high pressure fans like the ML's then you don't need the 6 fans on the AIO. I think it would create 2 much noise and also create a lot more work in regards to commander and node setup. Any advice wd be appreciated.
  5. Thanks - C-Attack. 2 XT controllers would have been the max I use tbh. Now I have found out that a ML can be on the same controller as a QL. I am fairly new to ICUE4 (Have been using ICUE legacy for years) but have found it extremely intuitive and easy to use and I can set the correct fan to ML or QL and then have higher speeds or a steeper curve for the ML's. Also i'll play around with the LNC idea with fans running off the PWM hub repeater also. Cheers

  7. Thanks for taking the time to reply to this, LeDoyen, much appreciated. Good to know this fan setup will have a positive affect on my case. In regards to sequential order stuff, looks like you are correct when you say that you can mix the fans on the controller, I was told by official corsair support that you cannot, however the only drawback is the timings on the QL fans and ML fans but literally it's like a second difference and in all honesty I will probably not use visor or any similar lighting setting. Below forum user has written more on this - So my sequential order will go from the top front to bottom/ bottom side to top side/ top ML fans/ back exhaust fan. I even have a phanteks neon led that I have purchased a converter cable to work with the Copro led slot and it works like a charm. Shout out to Pirate_dog on ebay. If you're in US it cost about $9.99 but I had to get it shipped to UK, so cost a lot more in taxes and air mail. I was going to use QL's on the AIO rad but I refuse to sacrifice functionality for looks, at least not in this situation. I am set now, I already have 6 QL's on my phanteks p400a (that look stunning), so I just need another QL 3 pack the AIO and the 7000D case. I am moving in a few months, so will most likely build it then, rather than lugging 20kg+ of weight around but good to know I can come back to this thread and sanity check what I'm doing, so thanks again!
  8. How weird I swear that you have written a review either for your AIO or case on Amazon as I have seen these pictures before, when I was looking at the 7000D reviews. You run a much flatter curve than I do, although in idle they're the same, they don't seem to ramp up much under load, however doesn't make bad temps, so all good.....And quiet 🙂

Wondering whether I have way too much push in this fan config for the 7000D case , I have always worked on a 1:1 ratio but this is a 2:1 ratio. Apologies for the bad drawing below but this should give a visual representation of what I am thinking of doing.. I am also thinking about omitting the side fans on the 7000D case, as I’m unsure how much better temps I would have with them installed and would certainly make the back of the case easier to work with, although I’m used to mids, so working in the 7000D should be a breeze. Any thoughts are welcome.
  10. Ok, so i went to order the fan you recommended, which was perfect for what I wanted to do SKU CC8900322. However Corsair doesn't ship to the UK and has no retailers that supply this fan. Now I want my pc to look good but not sure it's worth the price of a plane ticket to the US lol.....real shame because I discovered my mobo has 2 12v rgb headers......Any ideas?
  11. My apologies, I think you may be correct, if I can get another 12v connector on my mobo, this fan should work just fine as it is a 12v rgb fan......I should then be able to control everything via Asus aura....doesn't solve the fan control issue but thermals may be fine anyway. Mobo arrives tomorrow so looking forward to fully inspecting it!!!
  12. Thanks for reply. Yes this is a possibility. However if I need control over my fan speeds and the colours and from what I'm learning, I would need not only a sp120 fan pack x3 + hub £40 but also a pro controller £40 I could then use link or Icue. Or if I didn't want to control fan speed I could just buy the sp120 fan pack x3 hub (intake) with the limited colour control device and plug the single sp120, which I already have (exhaust) into the corsair fan hub. Due to my mobo delivery running late I haven't opened the pc case yet but would be interested to know what connectors the fans have that come with the case. On the case description on the corsair website it describes my case as being compatible with aura sync and also mentions it supports msi and gigabyte software......just not sure how.
  13. Hi, Just purchased the above Corsair case and am having issues finding a RGB exhaust fan for the back of my case. I get how the front RGB fans work, plug them into a splitter and then plug the 4 pin connector into the 12v connection on my mobo (which I have been told by Corsair will work with Asus aura). However I need advice on what RGB fan to use for the back of the case, as I want to replace the standard one. In my haste and impatience I purchased a very cheap corsair SP120 RGB pro but through research I have learnt that it carries the wrong voltage and is supposed to be used with a controller. In other words I need a 12v rgb fan, which can plug straight into my mobo. I have a Asus ROG crosshair viii hero. Any pointers, in regards to selecting the correct rgb fan would be greatly appreciated!
