Goride
I have a Macbook Pro that I use for gaming, listening to music, etc. Because I have OSX instead of Windows, the Corsair HS-1 drivers won't work. In fact, this is a problem with just about any decent headset. I saw in another thread here, that the HS-1 (usb) would only sound mediocre on OSX because it would have to use the default OSX drivers rather than Corsair's. To get around this problem I was thinking I could try pairing up an Astro Mixamp with the Corsair HS-1A headset. I was wondering if you think that this would work ok, and if this would sound great? Garmann
The astro mixamp will work with any heatset with 3.5mm jacks. The mixamp is also a good piece of kit so with a digital connection from the macbook to the mixamp the most limiting factor in your audio quality will be whatever headset you use.
