tibo1010
Can anyone confirm whether the Corsair H115i will be compatible with the upcoming LGA 2066 socket which will be debuting with the with Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors? Would I be able to use the exiting LGA 2011/2011-3 standoffs that are currently included with the H1151? Am I correct in assuming that as per LGA 2011, LGA 2066 will not require a back plate? red-ray
I am also wondering about LGA-3647 + SP3r2 LGA-4094. I suspect Corsair won't comment 'till after the CPUs are released, though they should know about LGA-3647 as https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon_Phi/ also uses it. Trevor Dennis
I just went to the trouble of registering for this site specifically to ask the same question. I was thinking that they just haven't updated the compatibility options, but it's been a while now. As it stands, we don't know which AIO coolers will fit X299 boards. I am hoping to use the H115i with a 7900X in a Cooler Master Cosmos II case. It's not even totally clear what 280mm Cooler Master AIO I could use in that case for Socket 2066, which is kind of crazy. I really want to use the H115i though, if only for that USB connection and monitoring software — we all like shiny things. ;-)
Trevor Dennis
Just found another thread on this site. It sounds like if it will fit socket 2011, it will fit 2066 http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=168649 And this review seems to clinch it, (using an X99 socket 2066 mother board http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/corsair_h115i/3.htm
