walterego221
Problem with the frequency DDR2 1066. Hi, in my computer i have 4 of ram CM2048-8500C5 DDR2 1066MHz for a total of 8GB of RAM. I have an Asus P5QL-E compatible with the ram 1066mhz. Unfortunately, when I try to make them work at the frequency of 1066MHz my computer becomes unstable. To operate my system I have to set "AUTO" all settings in the bios but, well, the Rams are working at 800Mhz. Can you help me? Using these settings, but the computer does not work stably. red-ray
I wonder if you need to enable EPP in the BIOS, but really need to see the SPD data. Looking at http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/twin2x4096-8500c5df then I suspect you may also need to up the voltage to 2.1 volts. If you ran my SIV utility, pressed the [ SPD ] button and attached the [sPD Summary] panel I could comment further. BTW you should add all your PC specs to your profile rather than posting some of them.

I show two pictures with the SPD and the bios. however, I have tested the ram with Memtest86 +, everything ok Now using windows 10 but even with windows 7 I had the same mistakes. Looking at http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20090619121705125&board_id=1&model=P5QL-E&page=1&SLanguage=en-us maybe you need to increase the NB voltage. I feel it would also be worth asking on the ASUS forum and looking at what https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=ASUS+P5QL-E+1066MHz&* finds. walterego221
sorry for the wait, I had to do testing The problem was caused by sticks of ram. The four sticks of ram are the XMS2 8500 but two are ver. 1.2 Both are ver. 3.1 I mounted the 1.2 with 1.2 and 3.1 with 3.1 and crashes are gone. I found another problem. A ram ver bench. 3.1 to up the frequency slows everyone else. I have carried out tests with intel burn test and I noticed that this ram ver bench. 3.1 alone to 1066mhz produces 25,000 GFlops The bench sister alone produces 37,000 GFlops. Both benches ver. 1.2 to 1066mhz produce 46.000GFlops Both benches ver 3.1 to 1066 produce 36.000GFlops All four of ram 1066mhz to produce 21,000 GFlops Three sticks of ram, except slower, producing a 1066mhz 42,000 GFlops All four of ram to 972 produce 48,000 GFlops I have therefore a ram bench damaged that 3.1 does not handle the frequency 1066mhz? Many thanks to those who will respond to me.
