RanchGuy Posted February 21, 2018 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Need some help with this one. My computer has ran fine using 2x 8gb sticks at 2666. Found a good deal and picked up another 2 sticks to fill in the board. The issue I'm having is that when I inserted the 4 sticks my PC freezes. It'll freeze on windows boot up. or even in bios. But when i remove 1 and leave 3 sticks it runs fine again. Any experience with this? how can i get it to run with all 4 sticks. I've tried each stick in dual slots and different slots everything seems to work just not all at once. I also updated my bios to the latest version. RanchGuy Posted February 22, 2018 Author Share Posted February 22, 2018 resolved! apparently running four it didn't like the color pulse effect.. i changed it to static then inserted the 4th stick and its running fine at the correct speed. even working at rainbow.
