JJay
Have a Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro mother with (2) XXXX GL5123200B-G memory sticks and an AMD 64 3000+ CPU. Have tried every setting and every combination and even overclocking, but can not get memory to run over 150mhz. Memory test fails and computer will freeze at 200 or even 166. Have replaced board and memory but still have problems. Thinking about changing to Corsair CMX 1024-3200C2PT. Thought about (2) CMX512-3200C2PRO but a little hesitant about using (2) sticks with this board and CPU. Use computer to run Flight Sim programs. Any sugestions or ideas would be appreciated. leeghoofd
I would opt for 2 x 512 XMS XL dimms mate, they are not that much more expensive as the modules you suggested, they are great overclockers and can be usefull when you do a futureupgrade to eg a socket 939 mobo ( Dual channel then). In your current board there's no dual channel but I think the XL will be worthwhile in the end. Just check the bios how much voltage it can give to the ram , 2.7 or even 2.8 volts are recommended for Corsairs.
