davexnet Posted September 2, 2006 Share Posted September 2, 2006 Hello, I built a budget system, Biostar Geforce 6100 M9 MB, 2*512 Corsair value select dual channel kit, AMD 64 3200+ 939. After running it in single channel mode for a few weeks, I decided to try dual channel. Opened up the case, moved one of the sticks, closed and rebooted, it's working in Dual channel, but instead of running at the rated 400MHz speed, it's down to 333MHz. This is at bios "optimized defaults". Is it possible to run it in this config. @ 400MHZ? Any background / info appreciated. Dave Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
davexnet Posted September 3, 2006 Author Share Posted September 3, 2006 I had inadvertantly seated the ram in slots 3 & 4, according to cpu-z. I opened it back up, put them in 1 & 2, cleared the cmos, rebooted/bios/load optimized defaults/ and problem was resolved. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
