Crashing or BSOD with Force GT 120GB while using SATA III

Hi,

I'm having trouble installing GT series SSD on my EVGA mainboard. I update my bios and my Marvell (SATA III Chip) to the lasest driver. I also enable to AHCI mode in my bios, and also exchange the cable to the new SATA III the shortest one (10cm). I also check the SSD's firmware is 1.2. However, every time when I was trying to install the OS on the SATA III channel, it either crash or keeps rebooting.

I also install everything by SATA II port on my board. Everything works fine, but when i try to switch to the SATA III port . It comes with the same result( crashing or freeze )

Any suggestion ??

Thank you

Marvell SATAIII chip is a disaster. I'm not overly surprised that you are having issues. I would say to trouble shoot further try a different SATAIII port.

Keep it on ICH10R you will get better performance. The Marvell 9128 chip has many issues that I have experienced first hand with my SSD's.
