JohnnyO
Hi all I’m planning my first pc build and am thinking of integrating Corsair Link. I was thinking of the following Corsair commander mini (obviously :sunglasse) connected to • PSU cooler (probably H100i GTX) • Exhaust fan • Intake fans • Temp cables (thermistor cables i presume) • RGB LED lighting kit • Dominator Airflow Platinum LED Fan (i don't need it but apparently it comes with the RAM cards :sunglasse) I have a few questions about this First questions: I live in Europe and i’ve read a bit on forums (including here i believe) about Link not working properly with Windows 10 over here. • Do ye know if this is resolved? • In relation to the set up above what parts would and would not work? For example, would nothing work, or would Link manage to work with some components but not with others? • Will the Link system change the colour of Airflow Platinum LED (even with the issues that exist at present...assuming there are issues at present)? • If European (or general) issues have not been resolved does anyone know when fixes are planned? Second questions: I see the Commander has inputs for up to 6 fans. I won’t have that many (initially at least) so no problems there. However, if i was to add fans in the future • Can i run two from one slot (e.g. with a splitter) • I presume there are power limits that limit how many fans can run from this, so what would the max number of fans the Commander can run (7, 8, 9, etc)? Third questions • How many sets of lights (with different set ups) can i attach? I presume 1 with the Commander, right? • If i add the lighting node does this jump to 3 (1 via the commander + 2 via the node)? Sorry for the long message...i’m a newbie to this and just trying to get enough info so as not to make a silly mistake (and waste money :[pouts:)
red-ray
So many questions, here are some answers. CPU Cooler - I prefer the H110iGT to the H110iGTX/H100iGTX for the reasons in http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=795986The CL Mini should work on W10 TH2 if you do what I say in http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153706I expect there will need to be a new CL release to fix http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153567. I assume this is ".," rather than ",." in numbers so I don't see this as I am in England.I think the only issue on W10 is likely to be the UI issue which will need a new CL release to fix.In general Corsair will eventually fix issues but never give expected dates. You can use Y splitters to connect up to 12 fans to one CL Mini, but for > 6 I use multiple CL Minis.I prefer 4-pin PWM fans to 3-pin fans, though the CL Mini supports both.About 80 LEDs can be conceded to the CL MiniAirflow Platinum LED see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=796732The lighting node is no longer available Have I missed any questions?
