Marvell 9128 chip is no good as it us a pcie 1x interface

Mutch to slow for sata3 SSD

Got the same problem on my DX58SO2 using marvell 9128, got to buy a pcie 8x controller Only Z68 and x79 motherboard is able to run ssd at full speed

If u or using marvell controller

Go in bios and desable marvell controller and plug your SSD on Intel® X79 controller. you will see if you desable marvell controller windows sould start in lest then 8sec.(you probely need to reinstall windows if you do be sure to save all your save game and important folder on usb key or other hard drive and do a secure erease before formating ur ssd)

In fact, in bios desable all material that you ar not ussing

It will speed up your system

Hope this help

thank you very much! you were right! actually the problem was the controller marvell 9128. When I connected the sata ssd connector x79 chipset performance has been correct. I attach a screen capture.

It really is amazing that asus say marvell controler it is 6Gbps when lie. 6 hours of my time lost by this nonsense! :P

One more thing, what parameters configuration ssd windows 7 x64 you recommend me ? I have seen many guides for configuring Windows. you could clarify me in each case whether to increase system performance or if it is only to increase the life of the ssd?

Thank you again!
