amagawd
Hey guys, since I got the i7-7700k my motherboard stopped appearing in corsair link. A few days ago I did a bios update and magically my motherboard appeared. After a few reboots it has disappeared again. What gives?
red-ray
AFAIK the ASUS Z170I Pro Gaming uses the Nuvoton NCT6793D sensor chip, can you confirm this? The initial screen of my SIV utility should report this. CL4 will only report the motherboard if it finds NCT6793D sensors so I suspect it's not finding them most of the time. When it does report the motherboard what sensors does it report? If post the CL4 [home] tab + SIV [status] panel as one screen shot so I can compare what get's reported I could comment further. Currently I suspect this is down to the cpuidsdl.dll that comes with CL4 being ancient as I had a similar issues with my Z270-HD3P board and that once Corsair start using a current CPUID SDK CL4 will always report your motherboard, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=891269. Sensor debug shows Nuvoton sensors so I suspect you are correct.
red-ray
Sensor debug shows Nuvoton sensors so I suspect you are correct. I find it's best to attach full size screen shots to the post, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=853900 for how to do this. Let's hope Corsair release a newer cpuidsdk.dll sooner rather than later, but I doubt if CL4 will report TF OPT-1 + TH PCH as these have to be read from the EC, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=805421. Your H115i coolant seems rather too warm. I don't know how the cooler is installed or what the room temperature is (<= 24°C based on the minimum disk temp) and suspect there may be airflow issues with your system. Temps usually hover around 29-31 degrees for liquid, I must have been gaming sorry I did not notice or I would have let it cool down. Ambient temp in this room is around 24-25 degrees. Sorry for the poor quality pic, there is a 200mm stock phanteks fan in the front and I do not use the front panel, it's removed for better airflow. red-ray
Is the rear fan inlet or exhaust and is there positive pressure in the case? I don't really use such small cases so don't really know what to expect. I suggest you either post in the cooling section and hope c-attack comments or you could PM him and point him to this thread. The rear fan is an exhaust, there is a sticker on the front side so its deceiving lol. Thank you for your help red-ray, I was thinking of maybe front mounting the rad instead and adding two inlets to the top. The rad fans are exhausts atm. I expect front mounting the cooler will make the case even hotter  as hot air will get blown into the case :(:
