I have had the commander pro for about a week or so when i first installed it i could see the fan speeds and also here the speed of the fans change but after booting the pc this morning and a windows update the fans have stopped showing in CL and are running very slowly . The LED's are doing what there supposed to . I also have the lighting node so the led wire is plugged into that and the pwm lead is in the commander pro . I hve 3 hd140 fans connected to it .

Any help recieved with thanks

For me to help you then you need to post the screen shots I ask for, do you wish me to try and help you?

You have not posted any of what I suggested and when I suggest screen shots I expect screen shots to be posted. I can make the text readable, but why should I have to?

You have also posted SIV V5.08 information when the current release is SIV 5.21 so you need to update as SIV 5.08 is way too old and does not support the CLCP. Better still use SIV 5.22 Beta-12 or later which should also report your AX860i PSU .

As we are trying to figure out an issue it would be sensible if you exited CL4 before starting SIV so we can be 100% sure CL4 is not impacting on the debug information.

Try again, post screen shots of all the screens and also Devices and Printers + any Device Manager error information.

  1. The SIV initial + [uSB Bus] + [Link Devices] + [Link Status] + [Link Fans] + [Link LEDs] panels allow the root cause of many hardware issues to be determined and resolved.
  2. If you need help with a CL hardware issue I recommend attaching these screen shots to your post using names such as [Link Devices].png.
  3. You should also ensure your PC Specs are up to date and specify the Windows Build number.
  4. Check the devices are present on Devices and Printers and confirm that Windows Device Manager is not reporting any issues.
  5. ALL of the files in the siv.zip release should be extracted to C:\Program Files\SIV\ or similar and SIV should be run from there.

Not sure if ive got all you asked for butt ive attached a few images theres nothing in the device manager on win 10 that shows any device is not working

Given you seem to wish me to help you why did you not use meaningful names as I asked? I can so you should be able to!

You also failed to post [Link Device] and Devices and Printers.

If you don't do as I ask why should I spend my time trying to help you?

Below I can see the CLCP is missing from [uSB Bus] and it should be just above the CLCH. I need to see [Link Devices] to try and deduce what might have happened so post it.

Did CL 4.8.0.82 start updating the CLCP firmware and if so did this update fail?

Better, but you should crop the images so it's just the panel and use .PNG rather than .JPG as this gives clearer/sharper images.

If you press the 3 [Restart] buttons SIV will set meaningful names that will be reported by Device Manager.

The CLCP is offline, so Windows used to detect it, but no longer does.

Now I have all the information and I think there are two possibilities which are either the CLCP has failed  or the CLCP firmware is messed up :(:. It may be possible to recover the CPCP firmware by doing as below.

  1. Shutdown the PC
  2. Push the button below the hole in the top of the CLCP and keep it pressed.
  3. Boot up Windows
  4. Release the button
  5. Look at [Link Devices], is there now a CLCL, the recovery loader device?
  6. If so exit SIV and run CL 4.8.0.82 which with luck will reload the CLCP firmware, does it?
  7. You may need to check for updates on the CL4 devices panel.
  8. If the firmware can't be reloaded then it's RMA time.

  1. I noticed SIV reported s few silly temperatures for your motherboard.
  2. This is nothing to worry about and means I just need to add ASUS Z97-K motherboard support to SIV.
  3. I have now done this and it would be great if you updated to Beta-13 and posted [status] so I can check I got the adjustments correct.
  4. [status] may be taller then you screen so you may need to post the upper and lower screen shots. I guess you could just press [Copy], paste the text into a file and attach that.

I have tried what you surgested and still no commander pro so i guess its rma time (oh the joys)

Good luck with the RMA and the UK RMA location is basically Scan in Bolton. If it came from scan it may be easier to RMA directly to Scan as Corsair support seems rather slow at the moment. Out of interest where are you? I am GU12.

Thank you for the .TXT file which is probably better, it's the in-line text with all the spaces removed that's a PITA! SIV has a bit of a steep initial learning curve and you did better than some.

Im up in cumbria

OK, a fair way away. Please let us know how things work out, I am still trying to get a feel for how CLCPs fail.

SIV is reporting "VIN5 VREF -13.269 -13.279 -13.351" when it should not and I need to save files to figure out why and fix this, please may I have then? See http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=788225 for what I would need/like.

If ive done this rright it will be a miracle lol

Thank you, almost and the save file has > 99% of what I would like and more than good enough . Once I had the file it took me 2 minutes to figure out what had happened and Beta-14 will fix things.

You did a command line -SAVE rather than from the GUI doing Menu->File->Save Local. It would be handy to have C:\Users\zoney-pc\Desktop\siv\SIV_DESKTOP-LPRF5EM.dmi but I can easily manage without it, you can't attach .DMI files and would need to ZIP it.

How is the RMA going?

The RMA is just a case of sitting and waiting for a responce now i have had fun with the rma department when my ax860i died for the second time it took nearly 4 months to get a replacement so if they beat that time this time i will be happy :D

DMI file attached although i did struggle to find the section i needed to create the files found them by clicking on somet by accident lol doubt i could find my way there again in a hurray lol

DMI file attached

Thank you.

Do you know the memory is running in Single Channel mode rather than Dual Channel mode as the CMY16GX3M2A2400C11 DIMMs are not in the optimal slots? I expect they are in A1 + A2 when A1 + B1 would be optimal.

It's also running at 2.00 GHz when I expect it can run at 2.40 GHz.

Which Areas? Maybe it should not be there. Looking in the save files then it's where I would expect to see it.

Also if you are running ancient SIV versions such as V5.08 it's possible they are too old to support the hardware. BTW SIV 5.22 Beta-14 is now available and you could do Menu->File->Download->SIV Beta to update.

I am pleased to hear the information helped .

As to why the H80iGT came back I can't tell, and suggest you just uninstall it again .

To find out when it was installed you would need to check C:\Windows\inf\setupapi.dev.log, but this is likely to be rather a large file and mine was 3MB, so I have just deleted it. If search backwards through it for USB\VID_1B1C&PID_0C02 starting from the end you should be able to see when the H80iGT driver was installed. I would delete it and then look if the H80iGT came back again.
