Correct DDR2 800 RAM for Asus M2N4-SLI

I want to put 1GB of DDR2 800/PC6400 ram on an Asus M2N4-SLI motherboard (nVidia nForce4-SLI chipset) by using two 512MB modules for dual channel operation. Asus says that the Corsair CM2X1024-6400C4 module will work on this board, but this would not give me dual channels as it is only one module.

I need to know if the two 512MB modules in the TWIN2X1024-6400C4 dual channel kit are physically the same type of RAM as the 1GB module Asus has tested, and whether they will work on this rather picky motherboard. Both are DDR2 800 CAS 4 and 2.1 volts, so there should be no problem.

Looking at the specs suggests that they should work, but it would be nice to hear it from someone else who has actual experience with this combo. The board is a good value for the money, IF it is stable!!
