Corsair Link and other Usb2 devices on one Usb2 port

Recommended Posts

Hi to all,

I have motherboard Asus Z10PE D8 WS that have one internal port USB 2.0 and two internal port USB 3.0 . I have PSU Corsair HX850i and I want use Corsair Link software with PSU but I have other devices that use the port USB 2 (line the front cable of the case Corsair 750D).

If I use the expansion card NZXT IU01 for USB 2.0 ( https://www.nzxt.com/products/iu01-USB-Expansion ) to connect two devices the software Corsair Link work fine without problems?

Thanks

Yes the hardware will work well, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=759585 which is in the thread I mentioned to you before.

Hi to all,

the workstation work very well and I'm very happy. I have mounted liquid coolers on the two Cpu, one with radiator 120 mm and the other with 240 mm with the case Corsair 750D and HX850i psu. At low frequency the average temperature is 25°C, in a turbo frequency and for long time the average temperature is 35°. The processor with radiator 240 mm have lower temperature of 3-4° C in turbo frequency.

Using Corsair Link 4 and other software to monitor the system I see that the temperature of the motherboard is fixed on 105/106 ° C but I do no know what value read the software.

Is a normal value? Where are read into the motherboard the first two values Temp #1=104°C and Temp #2=96°C? And the third Temp #3=40°C? I want only prevent problems and failures. I have the same value with other software like speccy or hwmonitor.

Many thanks

CL4 + SPECCY + HWM all use the same CPUID SDK so are likely to report the same information. Fully reporting a Z10PE-D8 WS is tricky and I suspect the CPUID SDK may not have complete support.

My SIV utility has full Z10PE-D8 WS support and if you post screen shots of the initial + [status] screens I could comment further. The you may need to post two [status] screen screens as it may be taller than your screen.

Looking at what SIV reported before I added full Z10PE-D8 WS support I expect the 105°C + 96°C should not be reported at all. I would report CL4 + SPECCY + HWM doing this as bug to their authors. I also suspect the 31-31-31-65 memory timings reported by SPECCY are incorrect and as for CL4 is only reporting two of the two of the fourteen cores for one of the Xeons I feel this is rather poor.

How come CL4 is not reporting the coolers? Are they USB connected?
