  1. It's called getting a good bin like how you get a good CPU bin for overclocking. You are forgetting the MCH which can also cause it not to work.
  2. My memory works fine on the board Asus Z170-A. It also works fine in a MSI Z170A-G45. Both @ 3200 speed. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233859 Using the 2x8 gig model.
  3. You guys need to understand this is all overclocking.. It's not guaranteed to work with every mobo or some combo. Also you can't run 3000 over above memory at 100:100.. It has to be 100:133 otherwise it work work. You also need to disable MCH full check. ( For Asus Boards ) Please see here for ss's. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showpost.php?p=842461&postcount=278 If those are off. And it works.. You have a stable overclock. If it doesn't work. Your overclock isn't stable.. Plan and simple. I've plugged Corsair and Gskill 3200 into my Asus Z170-A and they give the exact same results.
  4. Like everyone here I was having issues running my Corsair DDR4 3200 ( 2x8 Gigs ) at max speed.. Dropping it to 3100 made it work fine. I am running a Asus Z170-A with Bios 1702. After changing the following settings I was able to achieve 3200 without issue. DRAM frequency ratio from 100:100 to 100:133 http://t1.someimage.com/aL8y07y.jpg MCH Full Check from Auto/Enabled to Disabled http://t1.someimage.com/FDqTGLp.jpg After I changed those two I have been stable on 3200. Will edit this post if it I find something new.
