[Build Log] Out of Mana v2.0 (900D WC)

Recommended Posts

Welcome to my build log – A fully watercooled black & blue themed build housed in a slightly modified 900D.

What I want to achieve with this build ?

A big massive looking build. Something heavy, with a lot of fittings. Industrial heavy machine style !

By the way, my name is greg, I am 36, and I currently live in France.

Let's get this started !

Hardware parts :

- Case : Corsair 900D

- Motherboard : Asus Rampage IV Black Edition

- CPU : Intel i7 4930K

- RAM : 6 x 8Go G.Skill Trident X 2400Mhz

- Video cards : GTX Titan SLI (Gainward)

- Capture card : Avermedia Live Gamer HD (C985)

- PSU : Corsair AX1200i 80PLUS Platinum

- Screen : LG 34UM95-P – Ultrawide 21:9

- Bluray Recorder : Asus BW-16D1HT

- Sound Card : Asus Essence STX II + Beyerdynamic MMX300 headset

- Hard drives : SSD Samsung 850 pro (512 Gb) + SSD Samsung 840 pro (256 Gb) + SSD Samsung 830 (256 Gb)

And of course i will fully watercool this build. A list of what i plan to use :

- 2 pumps (laing D5) : one loop for the CPU, motherboard and RAM / the other for the graphic cards

- An aquaero 6 XT to control fans & temps in the case via PWM

- A mix between XSPC, EK and Alphacool for the waterblock / rads (1 rad 480mm, 1 rad 360mm, 1 rad 240mm and a 140mm). I will explain later.

- Acrylic tubes from Primochill & Bitspower

- A ton (and I mean a TON) of fittings (EK, Primochill, Bitspower) :p

- Black acrylic midplate, motherboard tray cover, backplate and front face (made by coldzero).

- AX1200i sleeved cables (mdpc-x sleeves) black & magic blue.

- Corsair Fans (14 fans : SP120,AF120,AF140).

- Sleeves from MDPC-X (Thx Nils).

Corsair SP120. Quite loud at maximum RPM but very quiet at lower speed
