jjbender
Hey all, I'm building a system with a Corsair Air540 case, ASUS TUF Z390-Pro gaming MB, ASUS ROG Strix Geforce RTX 2070 GPU, 32 GB Corsair vengeance DDR4 3200 memory, Corsair RM1000i PSU, Corsiar commander and RGB controller and a few other little things. My question is referring to the PSU. I have 2 usb 2.0 headers on the motherboard. One is occupied with the Corsair commander and the other by the Corsair H115i pro RGB AIO cooler. The RM1000i needs a usb header on the motherboard in order for it to be monitored by iCUE. Since both are occupied will something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G2F61RQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 work to add 2 usb header from one of them on the motherboard thus making a total of three usb 2.0 headers? Thanks
jrcobb1994
You said you're using the commander it comes with 2 usb header pass thrus that you can plug the psu and your AIO cooler into which will leave you an extra usb on your mother board and the commander using the other usb header. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/CORSAIR-LINK/CORSAIR-Commander-PRO/p/CL-9011110-WW
jjbender
That solves it. I know the USB headers are on that yet I didn't think of it. You did the thinking for me, thank you. Steve
