Hello
I have a problem with my gaming PC.
Motherboard : MSI H110M PRO that clocks mem at 2100 Mhz but accepts higher frequency memory sticks but capped at 2100Mhz.
Processor is I5 6400
Originally it had 2 x 4gb Corsair RAM which I believe was 2100 sticks.
Each stick on each slot.
After bringing it for repair (the PC was not recognized by my monitor or vice versa), the tech guy from the repair shop diagnosed a memory issue and replaced it with one stick of CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 8gb 2400, DIMM.
Since then, I experienced BSODs
"system thread exception not handled"
"memory management"
“corrupt hardware”
Also, Windows 10 update worked but 1909 release gave me errors, so Windows could not be updated to this release.
Some software cannot be installed.
Frequent BSODs like when using Google chrome.
Is it possible that the memory stick that was sold to me is defective? I am planning to go back to the shop with my unit. I still have the invoice for the memory which is still under warranty.
Thank you for your assistance
