UPS for Corsair AX850, HX750 - is adaptive sinewave UPS enough? Need pure sine wave?

Hi,

I have three PCs all built with Corsair AX850 and HX750 power supplies (and Corsair cases too). I would like to get a UPS for my PC running with the AX850.

I have read that the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD unit is good, but it has an "adaptive sinewave" output instead of a pure sine wave output. Is this OK?

Will running my PC on an adaptive sinewave UPS damage the power supply or my computer? Or will the power supply simply shut off?

The difference in price between an adaptive sine wave UPS ($200) and a pure sine wave UPS ($500+) is considerable.

Here's a sine wave UPS for $179 by Tripplite, that should do the trick! Here's a link to there site!

I've been using the smaller model on my Corsir HX620 for years without problems! Here's a link to where you can get it!

I've done some more reserch the UPS above isn't a pure sine wave, but this one says it puts out pure sine wave and is in the same price range...hope this helps!

Product Description of CyberPower PFC PSUs indicate they are pure sine waves so I'm not sure where the original poster got his information:

"Adaptive Sinewave technology solves the incompatibility issues experienced when a non-Sinewave UPS is attached to equipment using Active PFC power supplies. Like Pure Sinewave, an Adaptive Sinewave UPS provides continuous power output, preventing unexpected shutdowns or damaging stress when switching from AC to UPS battery power."
