Bassorakel
Hi folks, i recently bought a Ryzen 5900X. The CPU temperature is not shown in the Dashboard. Screenshot: https://ibb.co/5rrrxwx It is also not selectable as sensor. I allready reinstalled iCUE. And did a clean install. The temperature is still not shown. Any ideas? Alekos
I have the same problem with 5800x and H115i pro. iCue can't read cpu temperature. The linked discussion is not helping.
c-attack
The linked discussion is the answer as to why you can't see CPU temperature for the newly released AMD CPUs. You don't need to have CPU temperature for the H115i Pro to function correctly. CPU temperature is not the control variable to use for your fans. You should be using H115i Pro Temp (coolant temperature). That is what the fans do -- help remove heat from the liquid and in turn lower the baseline CPU temperature. Coolant temp is the lowest possible CPU temp with 0 volts.

It's dissapointing for me buying a premium cooling solution and not having full support on release. Are there any information when the new CPU's will be fully supported? Thanks AGAIN for your help ;): I'm still waiting for 5900x CPUs to arrive, however I'm keeping eye on these forums to be ready and up to date  Does anyone know if there will be an actual support for zen3 in the upcoming iCUE update? I wonder if I should use iCUE just to control RGB (LL120's, pump and RAM) and mobo's BIOS (tomahawk x570) to control fans based on CPU temp (not coolant temp)? For 3080 GPU control (including fan speed and montioring) I'm planning to use MSI Afterburner including CPU temp monitoring.
c-attack
Support for AMD 5000 series CPUs will surely be added. In prior releases, it was necessary for the SDK from the program that detects this information to be updated and validated for use with CUE. Presumably that is where we are now, but I have not seen any official statements. If you are using a CPU air cooler, I would leave it's fans on MB CPU/OPT whether support is there or not. That will guarantee the fans always spin, regardless of software state. If you are using an AIO, then you want coolant temp anyway. From what I've seen, the 5000 series will be just like the at several AMD and Intel offerings with a wildly dynamic idle state. You don't want or need fans to react to that with water cooling or general case air flow.

My 5900x should come in in 3 weeks best case scenario, but it look more like in 5 weeks. Hence I hope by then iCUE will have a zen3 support.
