Default Using Air 540 On It's Side?

Hi everyone, I am doing a new system build and want to use this case but I wondered if it can be mounted on it's side like the Air 240? I know the 540 comes with some rubber feet so I thought perhaps instead of sticking them to the bottom I could just stick them on the right panel and lay the case on it's side so that the window is at the top. Thanks.

I don't think it would be a problem, but remember that the power supply's intake is on the side. You'll definitely want to make sure the Air 540 is raised up a bit to make sure fresh air can get in.

You'll need an additional set up of feet or some other method of getting your lift. The included feet have a screw mounted on one side and it won't come out easily. You can usually find rubber feet for just a few dollars at computer specialty stores or be creative with what you do have.

Mentioning this, I think selling a slightly revised version of the case including a "clip on" siding kit to keep the shape uniform may be in order for those with OCD like me.

I was torn between the HAF XB and the Air 540, with the biggest point of interest leaning towards the HAF being the horizontal motherboard layout and cheaper price.

Ultimately, the Air 540 is winning my interest.

Here's mine on its side. I used rubber legs I bought at Lowes and attached with Gorilla Glue to attach them.
