Wired
It's not available publicly yet (hence the beta).
andrewc513
I was offered the beta firmware but the issue persists. As to whether it fixed other setups, I cannot say. I can only hope that others were luckier than I.
turtlescrew
well ithink this s humbug and timebuying from corsair ,looks like we all have useless system hdd , can for sure not use my system as it supposed to be used , i dont feel like buying anymore products from corsair in the future
krazyatom
I just installed F60 into my computer and I love it. I don't use 24/7, so that's why I don't have BSOD?
turtlescrew
well i cant say for sure , but my computer works as long as i use it , when i leaves it alone for a couple of hours bsod appears , and it s SOOOOO frustrating
krazyatom
Hmm maybe i should leave it on couple of hours see if i get BSOD. Did you disable hiberation? also how did you set up your power options in control panel? Mine is all never turn off.
OKstate11
When will we see a firmware update to fix the BSOD when resuming from sleep mode. I am currently hibernating, but if I can't use sleep mode, I will have to return the drive and go back to my Intel X-25 which DOES NOT have this issue. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 13, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 13, 2010 We are working on an update but at this time we do not have an ETA. We don't want to break something else to fix that issue so please be patient. However, I would expect something soon. Just cannot say how long it will be. icsterm
How come my default factory firmware for my F60 is 1.1 already? I checked the firmware with device manager properties and is still 1.1. I am using beta firmware from factory state?
Wired
AFAIK the firmware isn't what's in beta, and I believe it's already been reported it's not a fix all update.
Synbios
Yes from what I've seen some people with newer Force drives have the 1.1 firmware already. As mentioned by RAM GUY however, while the 1.1 firmware does use a newer version of Sandforce (3.2 or something like that, opposed to 3.1 in 1.0). The 1.1 firmware only fixes an issue with SMART and does not help with the sleep/hibernation/TRIM problem. With regards to 1.1 firmware being different than 1.1a beta, I have no idea what the differences are. But 1.1 is no beta, and it is quite normal to have it pre-installed. Only somebody inside Corsair would know if there is a difference between 1.1 and 1.1a.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 17, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 17, 2010 I have already explained that in a previous post, the firmware versions 1.1 and 1.1A are the exact same firmware the "A" indicates it was updated remotely rather than at the factory. And again the firmware is not BETA the tool to update the firmware is what is in BETA. ALL Force drives manufactured after about the end of last month will be Firmware Version 1.1. OKstate11
I have Intel and "OCZ" SSD drives that DON'T have the BSOD when resuming from sleep mode. Why is it taking so long for your guys to figure it out?......
Wired
Don't think Intel uses Sandforce controllers, and the other one may or may not use a Sandforce controller.
Synbios
I haven't looked into what models specifically but there are some OCZ drives that use the sandforce controller and they have the same problem.
pat5zero
At the beginning I got lost in the speed and easy to use my F60 drive. However I have to use from day to day "close lid sleep" on my laptop. When I resume I either get no Bluetooth service to run a mouse and or a BSOD. I am patient and really want this drive to work properly. But I can't help wondering if it will be this year or next before there is a work around/fix for sleep/hibernate/Trim. Toughbook
Is it only the 60GB F-Series drives that have this so called problem? My F series 120 runs great with no hiccups.
svieira
My F200 has problems as well, when it wakes up from sleep, the drive is gone many times.
Synbios
My F200 has problems as well, when it wakes up from sleep, the drive is gone many times. If you're trying to get the computer to detect the drive, unplug the power cord to the computer and wait a few seconds to clear the cache. The drive will appear after that. You should disable sleep mode in the meantime until the new firmware comes out. Shut off your computer when not in use for the best results. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 27, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 27, 2010 Yes please disable Suspend to RAM and Hybrid suspend and TRIM should solve that for the time being.
Caml Light
i'm very disappointed by the force series.. i've recently bought one ot these drives (F60 with firmware 1.1), and it drives me crazy! Windows suspension doesn't wake up correctly my system (i must to reset it). I think that a respectable company like Corsair should test better their products before placing them on the market. It's impossible to say to a customer that has PAID for that product to disable trim o suspension... this is the last time i've buy a Corsair product, because my time is more important of buggy SSD! Corsair should to refund their unhappy customers, or to make a very stable firmware as soon as possible (before i and many others take their SSD and throw them in the trash!) Caml Light
has been a while that I hear about this new firmware, at this point is to be expected in the COMING DAYS? Not all of us play with your PC, many people like me work there and have a problem causes delays and inconvenience.
Wired
As he stated, it's in SandForce's hands, not theirs.
