Triviuma Posted October 14, 2019 Share Posted October 14, 2019 (edited) Hello, i just installed a new graphic card 5700 XT on pc and my mic stopped working. Sound output is fine, but mic doesnt pick up anything. Here is what I did. 1. Plugged the new GPU 2. Uninstalled only AMD gpu drivers of the old GPU with DDU 3. Installed most recent Adrenalin GPU driver with AMD HD Audio driver selected 4. After restart - mic was not working. After that i tried - uninstalling AMD HD audio , uninstalling ICUE , installing back again only ICUE without the AMD HD audio - mic still doesn't work. Installed both AMD hd audio and ICUE - mic still doesn't work. Problem is I don't get what is causing it. I suspect its the AMD audio driver that i installed with the GPU drivers. Under "Sound, video and game controllers " in Device Manager I have these 3: https://gyazo.com/7975a2fb58b904a66f456eb1ef2c152e. EDIT: Mic is not muted from the headset. In windows it is set to "Allow apps to use my mic". Corsairs gaming dongle Mic is the default device , I dont have anything else enabled in the Recording tab. Any input / suggestions are appreciated. I just checked the cable of the headphones and it turned out it was not plugged completely in the usb adapter at the back. After reseating it - everything works. Epic Fail. Sorry for the thread.
