backbased82
Hi, First of all my pc configuration is the above CPU: AMD FX-9590, 4700 MHz MB: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro CMY16GX3M2A2400C11 Main Cooler: Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme S Case: AeroCool Mechatron Windowed Midi Tower Power Supply: Corsair RM1000 1000W OS: Windows 7 x64bit My pc is almost new. I was facing issues from the first time, mostly random freezing. I run several times stress test using prime95 and the most of the times I get freezing. By following the official specs of my memory regarding the timing, when I configured the timing manual I got failure and errors. So, at this point I am wondering the followed.. Is my memory compatible with my MB and CPU? Can it reach the 2400mghz and how? Can you somehow assist me to have a functional pc? Thanks in advance. backbased82
Hi Synthohol, First of all Thanks for your response. I am running the latest bios version 2201. Right now my configuration is set to default. Should I follow your settings without messing with DRAM Voltages and Timings? Note that my memory specs are reaching 2400mghz. Synthohol
all the voltages are default, your DOCP should read 2400, keep in mind the default speed of our CPU is 1866. some clock better than others. heres what you can do, save your profile and you can try what i have (except yours will be set to DDR3-2400 in the window) and boot up. personally i prefer setting the CPU multiplier and fsb manually but you can leave it on auto. the cool and quiet screeny i alwaqys turn that off for more control plus i like paying for my utility guys kids braces i suppose ;):
backbased82
I took your screenshots and side by side I followed your configuration. Unlikely, it was by far the worst stress test I 've ever done. Within half a sec my system froze. Any other suggestions?
Synthohol
Wow works brilliantly on mine sorry. Disable ecc mode i noticed it was on also try docp at 1866 to match the cpu and see if that helps Did you leave the cpu speed as auto? You can try 23.5 or 25 x 200 like mine. Im most curious if the 1866 settings help. Let me know ok?
