Depo1964
My DAW was upgraded at the end of 2012. The invoice only said that it was 8GB DDR3 Corsair RAM I ran a CPU-Z analysis of my DAW. Attached is a CPU-Z analysis of the Memory already installed in my machine. Is this Corsair RAM that I want to purchase compatible with what is already in my machine? Even though they appear to have the same SPECS, is it still possible that I could run into problems since all of the RAM was not purchased at the same time? http://www.corsair.com/en-us/cmx8gx3m2a1333c9
vignesh676
you need to check the frequency of current ram to check whether it is 1600 mhz or higher. you need to buy with same frequency. you will have to check it physically.
Depo1964
Thanks for the feedback guys. I've decided to buy completely new RAM. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/xms3-8gb-2x4gb-ddr3-dram-1333mhz-cl9-memory-kit-cmx8gx3m2b1333c9 I'm hoping that this ram will play nicely with my MOBO (Gigabyte P67X-UD3-B3) and my CPU (Intel i7-2600K)
