sfakinslaris8
I am using an AX1500i to power an Antminer S7. The S7 does not have a motherboard. I want to use Corsair Link. Is there a way to connect the AX1500i to my ASUS Laptop. My Laptop only has USB ports. If this is possible, what cables do I need?
Toasted
A Internal USB 2.0 connector to Type A adapter (if it exists) may work. If it exists, it should let you plug the AXi LINK USB dongle to your laptop.
red-ray
Is there a way to connect the AX1500i to my ASUS Laptop. Yes, use a mini USB to USB-A cable. See https://www.coolcomponents.co.uk/usb-a-to-mini-b-cable.html?gclid=CMejqOyXs8oCFSsOwwodgSAK8A If it exists, it should let you plug the AXi LINK USB dongle to your laptop. The AX1500i does not have a Corsair Link™ USB Dongle, but rather a mini USB socket on the PSU.
sfakinslaris8
Thanks guys. I have a couple mini USB to USB-A cables which came with old cell phones for uploading pictures and charging the phone. I wasn't sure they would work. From what I understand, I should be able to use one of these cables. All I would need to do is connect the mini USB to the PSU and the USB-A to my laptop's 2.0 USB port. Download Corsair Link to my laptop and go from there.
red-ray
It's best to install CL before you connect the PSU as that way Windows will automatically find and install the Corsair Link™ USB Dongle driver. Otherwise you will need to use Device Manager to update the driver.
