Yes if you have the Dominator 2.4 Volts is max!

Default PC-8500 not intended for Intel but for AM2?

This is what this all amounts to when I read the posts in this thread. That that PC8500C5/C5D is only intended for AM2 at 1066. However will work at 800 for Intel users. Is this what it boils down to?

Yes unless you will over clock your system and or use one the new MB's for LGA775!
