650d front 200m fan very loud with slight whining

Hi guys, I've just finished building my first pc with 650d and h100. Everything went fine except the front 200m fan is very loud with slight whine. I've been sitting next to it for a few mins now and it's unbearable. Now I've noticed that Corsair don't sell replacement improved 200m fans so what are my options? Is my only choice to buy a third party one? What do you suggest? Thanks.

Revised update: I've found the following posts so far.

It seems like a very widely reported problem. I only wish I'd seen this earlier and perhaps I would have gone for a different case. Now I have to dismantle my entire pc to return the case which is a major hassle after spending like a week putting it together in the evenings. I'm really not sure what to do know. I guess I'll start by unplugging the front fan from the mb chassis fan header and plugging it into the front panel fan controller and then turn it to low. If that doesn't help I'll try buying a new more flexible fan controller. If that doesn't help I'll try buying a different fan though with this I'm very concerned about having to move the hard drive cages as I don't have enough room on the base due to the ax1200 being very long indeed. If that doesn't help then I'm truly screwed as I don't really have the skills or the tools to cut out the mesh on the front. Anyone have any suggestions I'd be grateful.

I have the same problem. I just emailed something through to Corsair support. Lets see what they say.

It does seem like either cutting the mesh or getting a different fan (many people suggest the Megaflow) will solve the problem however I really don't want to cut my case or spend money on a new fan.

Hopefully Corsair can resolve this problem.

as solution i would suggest you to cut the grill and the airflow will become better and the sound less...also i would like to mention that the fan controller doesnt look to me to work properly, and what i mean by saying that...it has the rpm range of the corsair 600t , it has only low medium high but i think that is not making good work on controlling the fan speed..

all these i'm saying because i have an aftermarket fan controller and i had a comparison between them.

i bought bitfenix spectre (because i like to have a quiet system)

cut the grill

and attach all the fans on the aftermarket fan controller and all my issues fixed
