iCue LS100 StarterKit - not working at all

Hi there,

just installed the iCue LS100 Starter Kit alongside the 450mm extension kit in a dual monitor setup. While setting up the hardware already, the first 4 led strips in the row/line started illumination in this rainbow effect, led strips 5+6 in the same row remained 'dead' - ok I thought lets start the software, maybe they need to be activated separately in the software since it is an extension set - but as soon as I started the software iCue, led strips 1-4 also became 'dead' and since then nothing worked out to get them back illuminated - the whole setup is 'dead'.

The software recognizes LS100 Starter Kit as a connected device though and I can click around in the software but the LED strips still remain 'off' - any idea what to do? All cables are connected properly, also the power supply.

I tried restarting the computer, a different power socket outlet, different USB ports, reinstalling the software but no change :((((

Thank you very much for your support in the subject matter

Hey, hey!

Did you configure iCUE?

Click on the LS100 STARTER KIT icon in iCUE.

On the left side, click the LIGHTING SETUP.

Lighting Channel 1 and Lighting Channel 2 are the headers on the LS100 box. You use the dropdown options to tell iCUE what strips you have connected to the box.

You will also need to add an effect (+ in Lighting tab) to make it come on. Without the software, that button on the little black box is your on/off. When the software is in charge, then control is through the software.

Also note, now that you have added the software, you need to tell it turn off when you shutdown. It will go to rainbow if you don’t. You can still shut that off via the black box button, but if you want it automatic go to Hardware Lighting, add effect, static 0,0,0. Black is off.

DOES NOT SUPPORT ULTRAWIDES WITH EXPANSION KIT -Magnetic Attachment System is horrible, they don't like to stay on and aren't strong enough for most curved (1800r) monitors, they fall off so easily when you are attaching the montior to your arm or wall -Expansion kit doesn't support single ultrawides -freesync issues are causing color issues and flickering -compared to a hue play it's really dim

Your monitor needs to be about 3 inches away from the wall to get good light, which means it needs to be on a monitor arm and not a stand. It needs to be on a white wall as there are no gamma or color boost settings in it's video mode.

Compared to a hue play, this product is very disappointing. It also in it's current state has freesync issues, where the colors either don't match or the unit flickers or both.

Lastly the expansion kit doesn't support a single ultrawide monitor

You can only do 4 strips for 1 montior or 6 strips for 2 monitors, you can't put 6 strips on one monitor

Aby changes?
