friscokid77 Posted August 17, 2004 Share Posted August 17, 2004 my system setup is the following: Abit KV8-MAX3 motherboard, a AMD 64 3400+ processor, VS1GBKIT400 memory, with a ATI radeon 9600 xp video card. The system randomly restarts itself all the time. I have narrowed the problem areas to the power supply, the video card (neither are on Abit's list of compatable peripherals) or the memory. I ran microsofts memtest to try to determine if the memory was the problem - when running the extended tests it failed the Stride38 and the WStride-6 tests. What does this mean? And I would try and test the modules one at a time after toy have the latest bios and load set up defaults and set the dim voltage to 2.7 Volts!
