Default An identification of a CORSAIR Vengeance CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9's rank

Hello. I'm going to buy a CORSAIR Vengeance CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 4GB memory. I have a Gigabyte P55A-UD4 (Socket 1156) motherboard with Intel Core i5 661. So as far as I know the only working option for me is a dual-rank memory with 16 chips.
But I can't find out how many chips are on the module looking at the photo because of a radiator on them.
I found this thread and here is the problem. I have a broken CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 4GB v2.12 memory and I can see 16 chips on it. But according to the table in that thread there should be 8 chips (256Mx8). So I'm totally confused.
Could you please explain me, what have I got wrong? Or could you just tell me how much chips are on the following modules (pics from online stores)?

4GB DDR3 modules with Corsair Ver5.11 or Ver2.12 were Double Sided / Dual Rank made of sixteen 2Gbit (= 256Mx8) ICs and by these photos these were produced in 2012 and 2014. However these ICs are out of production for many years, so it is unlikely you would be getting those in anything you buy nowadays. Most if not all of Corsairs DDR3 modules and kits still available are most likely built from eight 4Gbit (= 512Mx8) ICs instead and on 4GB modules that means they are Single Sided / Single Rank.
