How far did you get? What does Menu->Tools->Link Devices report? If you post a screen shot of Menu->Tools->Link Fans and say which sensor you would like to use to control each fan when I can probably tell you what you need to do.

I would like to control my case fan speeds using the temperature sensor number 2.

I assume you have read http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140665

1) You MUST specify -CRLCTL when you start SIV. When you do this the blue blobs will change to hot pink.
2) Use Menu->Tools->Configure->Link Export to set the names of the case fans then press [Save].
3) On [Link Fans] press the pink blob and select CLCC Temp 2.
4) Change the Fan Control Mode to 6 -> Custom and select it.
5) Set the Points
6) Press [Save].

Does this help?

Forgive me for not knowing how, but I have no idea how to specify -CRLCTL when starting SIV.

First create a desktop short link to SIV64X and
after in (right click) "Property" tab of the icon
add in the command line -CRLCTL as in picture

Wow! I did it!!! I can actually control my case fans based on the temperature sensor.

Thanks guys. A special thanks to Ray for SIV! Now that I understand the concept of SIV a bit better, I am going to try to program my Commander Mini's LED lights.

If you look at http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140665 it states "If you are just using SIV to control your CL hardware rather than specifying -CRLCTL on the command line you may wish to use SIVDEF.ini. Simply save the attached prototype to the SIV installation folder as SIVDEF.ini and add any other qualifiers you wish to use. You should do Menu->File->Show SIVDEF.ini to ensure it is in the correct location." I suspect this may be a better option for you to use.

I am happy to hear you now have things working.

Thumbs down No new CLCC firmware with CL v3.1.5667

I have just checked CL v3.1.5667 and the CLCC firmware is still v1.1.6. When is there likely to be an updated firmware to address the issue I raised in http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=757703 please?

I also noticed that the Cooling Node firmware is v1.2.8 when v1.2.11 is the latest version. I am currently using v1.2.11, do I need to revert to v1.2.8 and if so why?

Default H100i 1.1.03 Firmware still reports the incorrect mode

I have just checked the H100i 1.1.03 firmware from CL 3.2.5676 and the H100i still has the same incorrect mode being reported issue as the CLCC. When is there likely to be updated firmware to address this issue and the others I raised in http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=757703 for both the H100i and CLCC please?

It is crazy that only the CLCC temperature sensor 4 works for internal custom curve feedback

On a positive note the custom curve issues I have seem posts about does not look like an H100i 1.1.03 firmware issue to me. As you can see below the H100i Fan 2 speed is as it should be

Ray-
Please help me a little with your post above. Has there been any progress on the issue of the Commander Mini not being able to control fans based on the temperature reported from the temperature probes?

  1. I am assuming you mean CLCC temperature probes 1, 2 and 3 as probe 4 works.
  2. There has been no visible progress as no new CLCC firmware has been released . Only Corsair can tell you if there has been any progress .
  3. I have tested that the SIV work-a-round still works with the new H100i 1.1.03 firmware and it does . I have not tested with an H80i as I don't have one, but expect it to work

Based on that info, when I get some time, I am going to plug my temperature sensor into the probe 4 slot and see if I can get the fans to respond based on that reported temperature.

There are now at least two more posts about this issue. After 9 months it should have been fixed.

See http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=801157 and http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=803250.

It's called a "work-for-hire" contract, very common and very simple. What are the concerns exactly?

Well, for one, red-ray has explicitly stated he "wouldn't want to work for a company like Corsair" in the first place.
