nacres
Hi I bought brand new platinium hx1200. 3.3v Reading from mobo jumping from 3.264 to 3.280 V Is that normal or should I RMA? Thank you. Edited November 30, 2019 by nacres
DevBiker
Normal and within spec.

Thank you. Even if it was an accurate reading, which if it's from HWInfo, the BIOS, etc. it's not, it is within spec. Unless the PSU is an HX1200i, that reading isn't coming from the PSU. It's coming from the motherboard. So it's not reflecting an actual +3.3V rail voltage reading.
Vegan
On my motherboard, the BIOS reports show voltages that are consistent with that which is shown in the Link app via the USB connector. I am not sure what the HWinfo is using but that program needs to be updated big time.
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted December 4, 2019 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 4, 2019 On my motherboard, the BIOS reports show voltages that are consistent with that which is shown in the Link app via the USB connector. OP doesn't have an HXi. They have a standard HX. So there's no LINK/iCue interface. The BIOS reading is going to be close to reality because the system is idle, so the voltage at the motherboard should be similar to the actual voltage of the PSU. It's still not 100% accurate because, as I said, it's not getting the reading from the PSU itself.
