I've just purchased the k70 rgb, and encounter the cue + steam problems as well. I understand that people want a keyboard to work 100% without bugs, however a simple fix to this is run a solid colour when opening steam, then switch to the designated profile. The current bugs do not detract from the overall incredible product (for me at least).

Why not do an open test? Wouldn't that be the best way to get the most diverse set of hardware profiles to test the firmware/software fixes on?

To much useless feedback with open betas. Its the USB protocol thats causing the issue and its being rewritten.

Yeah, having an open beta test will inevitably result in some useless feedback, but eliminating such feedback comes at the cost of useful feedback that other members of the community aren't able to contribute. I'm sure there are things that aren't currently being noticed in the current closed test that might be noticed if some different people were also testing.

Also, for customers who are experiencing frequent issues, I'm sure they would be more content with a beta firmware/software update that manages to be more stable than what is currently available.

Im not in charge of giving out invites, but i'm sure Corsair has a reason for not making this a open beta.

Also the beta build is not stable so there is no point to upgrading.

Confirmed that I'm having the same issue with my K65 in windows 7. Tracked it down using system config since I have steam launching on start up. Intel delayed start up seemed to cause similar problems as well, though I don't have the energy to test that out more thoroughly right now. I'd like to know how the beta goes so I can decide on keeping this keyboard!

Don't need to add details I'm sure you all know very well what I'm experiencing. Keyboard was purchased this week.

holy ****. I spent my money on this keyboard only to find out that it breaks on steam? I'm starting to think about returning this garbage and get something else that I've been saving my money for. seeing how its been months since this issue was reported and unresolved. I think I might as well put it back in its box and send it back.

Only you can decide, but the fix should be not far off now - according to some reports maybe a matter of days. In the meantime if you have an old USB hub lying around try that, or just try different USB ports on your motherboard. That is how I fixed the problem here - just using a different rear port, wired differently internally.
