soopytwist
My current motherboard is an Asus P9X79. I'm looking at upgrading to maybe an Asus X99 Deluxe II Extreme. My current RAM is Corsair Vengeance 16Gb DDR3 (CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B). Would I be able to use this RAM with the X99 Deluxe II? Or will I need to buy the DDR4 kit (CMK16GX4M4A2400C14B) instead? If I stick with 16Gb, and there doesn't seem to be any reason not to. 32Gb or even 64Gb seems pointless.

soopytwist
I notice the Asus X99 Deluxe II Extreme is not listed in Corsair's Memory Finder. X99-Deluxe is and also X99-DELUXE/U3.1. What is the difference? Are the RAM listed for either of these the same for the Deluxe II Extreme? Basically is CMK16GX4M4A2400C14B compatible with Asus X99 Deluxe II Extreme?
