rm5081
I have a 16G Flash Voyager, I love this item, have used it for ever. Recently, the glue holdng the drive inside the rubber protector failed, and the drive pulled out. I put it back in, and it continued to work. Today, I plug in the drive, but the blue light stays steady on. It never blinks to show drive access, and the light never goes off. Windows 7 64b finds the device and installs a driver, but it shows as a generic memory bar, no the Flash Voyager that it used to. (SM324BC Memory Bar) The drive is found by Windows Explorer, but it is not accessible - clicking on it does nothing, and it is affecting winexplorer, it can cause it to lag, and functions are not working correctly, like creating a new folder. I am not able to read the drive, Corsair SSD Tool doesn't seethe device, and Win7 explorer can't see the drive volume. What are some tricks to try and get this/any USB drive to read a failing drive? It is a USB2.0 device, and I have been using USB2 plugins, but no luck yet. I'd like to hear your ideas on how to try and get this drive to be read. Because the driver is installed, but as a generic drive, there might be some driver help from Corsair? PLMK Thanks in advance.
Toasted
You can try the USB on another computer and see if that helps.
