Default Maximus VII Hero Memory Compatibility

Greetings Corsair Forum,

I'm planing to upgrade my System and i just have a quick question regarding Memory Compatibility.

Here are the main components:

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero
CPU: Intel i5-4690
Ram: Corsair 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 DRAM 2400MHz C11 Memory Kit (CMY8GX3M2A2400C11R)

Is the RAM and the mobo compatible? I cant find the mobo in the RAM finder on the corsair website (to new?) and none of the new corsair vengeance pro ram is listed in the mobo's compatibility sheet.
Also, can i later just add to same ram to get 16GB if i want to upgrade?

I hope you can clear things up for me.

Default

The Z97 chipset was not available when that kit was released and i don't know how regularly and widespread the lists get updated.

However the Maximus VI and VII series models have a very good memory compatibility in general and the CMY8GX3M2A2400C11R should work just fine.
