Default RAM upgrade for my Mackbook pro

I purchased 16 ram for my currently running 4 RAM from Corsair. On their description on Amazon.com my computer was listed. When I install them the computer beeps three times continually and will not start up. I put the original back in and it works good.

Does this mean my Mac will not accept 16 GB?

Which Macbook Pro do you have, and which memory do you have? We don't make a 4x4 GB kit, so it sounds like you're either attempting to mix two 2x4GB kits, or four 4 GB modules. This isn't recommended as they haven't been tested with each other.

I am running the original 2X2 GB 1067 MHz it was purchased with. I read I can only upgrade to 4X2 until I read your specs on Amazon.com and it said I can install the 2X8, however when I put in the 2X8 I get the three beep alarm and no boot up.

Sounds like you may have CMSA16GX3M2A1333C9? It's not compatible with your mid-2009 Macbook Pro.

Then as I said - it's not compatible. I'd suggest returning it to Amazon.

Definitely 2009. 16 GB wouldn't be possible, sorry.
